My name is Natasha and this is my blog about the things I’m interested in, mainly: social media for tourism destinations, online viral campaigns for tourism destinations, & Greenland (my favorite tourism destination) .

About me:
I’m a sustainable tourism consultant specializing in adventure tourism product development, research and market expansion into non-traditional and frontier destinations. As a consultant at Xola Consulting, my clients have included destinations such as Greenland, Northern Peru, North-East India, tour operators in Newfoundland, Mexico, and Argentina, as well as industry associations in Brazil and the US.
I have experience working with small and medium sized tourism enterprises, helping them to optimize their online and social media marketing to attract relevant markets. I have worked with remote destinations in creating brands that appeal specifically to adventure travelers.
My business objective is to deliver high value added consulting advice in the sectors of brand development, tourism planning, tourism strategy development, and destination marketing, ultimately directly supporting clients in attracting the right type of visitors, and increasing economic and social benefits from sustainable tourism activities.
My adventure tourism market research includes primary and secondary research into industry trends, especially on Gen Y adventure travelers. I’ve guest lectured at The George Washington University on social media for tourism destinations and presented at industry conferences.
I have a BA in African History from Concordia University and a Masters of Tourism Administration from The George Washington University. I speak French and Spanish and as the daughter of a foreign service officer have been lucky enough to live around the world.
Right now, you can find me in person in Buenos Aires.
